Ballarat Queer History Exhibition and NEW video!

Earlier this year 632 people engaged with our Ballarat Heritage Weekend exhibition and 78 people took our Ballarat queer history tours! 😲

Watch this video by the very talented Akasha Temple to find out more about our Exhibition and Frolic Festival.

This November our history exhibition from Heritage Weekend will be on display in Lucas at Ballarat Community Health. Ballarat Community Health are a proud Rainbow Sponsor of Frolic Festival and good friend to the local LGBTIQA+ community.

Also, it will come to you as no surprise but we’ll also be having another Ballarat Queer Goldfields History Tour led by Thomas (co-host of popular podcast Tales from Rat City) as part of this year’s festival! More details on that to come soon. It’s always a popular event, and no matter if you’re a local or from out of town – you’ll learn something new and fascinating!

Thanks for coming to Heritage Weekend!

Thanks to the 632 people who checked out our Ballarat Heritage Weekend exhibition this weekend and the 78 people who took our queer history tours! 😲

Special thanks to Ballarat Council (especially Kate!), our exhibition volunteers and to our amazing tour guides, Tom and Alex. 😘

We’re relaxing at Hop Temple Ballarat now. But keep an eye out for our next exciting events!
