Art Show Launch / 2018 Festival Opening
Join us at the Old Sherriff’s Office for our Ballarat Frolic Festival Opening and Art Show launch. Take in some art and performances, and enjoy some light refreshments.
BFF Garden Tours
After a relaxed morning enjoy a tour of the unique Food is Free Laneway and Community Gardens. Food Is Free Inc. is a community led not-for-profit group benefitting all Ballarat citizens with a focus on those experiencing disadvantage. Includes afternoon tea.
Frolic Trivia with Marlon
Test your LGBT+ knowledge, Ballarat History and your vocal cords at our popular trivia night. The night starts with general trivia questions and ends in singing battle rounds. Can your table out sing others to get bonus points? Enthusiasm is more important than singing ability! Book for tables of 8 to 10 or book an individual ticket and form a table with new friends on the night.
Ballarat LGBT+ History Tour
Let Tomas, co-host of the very popular Goldfields history podcast Tales from Rat City, give you a glimpse of what life would have been like for LGBT+ residents of the Goldfields area in days gone by. Wander some of Ballarat’s best known streets and discover some new insights to this wonderful historical town.
Frolic Fast Friends Speed Dating
Looking to make new friends or meet a special someone? Come along to our all inclusive meet and greet event. Gender and age are no barrier, everyone meets everyone!
Frolic Ball
This is a night not to be missed. The key event of the Festival, this is always a huge night of fun and frivolity! The theme this year is Under the Sea so frock up in your most glamorous outfits for our Gala night. Entertainment, dancing and light refreshments are provided. Hosted by Andy Balloch. Andy is a Melbourne based comedian, comedy writer, Improviser, and co-host of ‘Cher & Retweet’, a popular podcast that journey’s down the rabbit hole that is Cher’s twitter feed.
Frolic in the Park
Bring a picnic and soak up the atmosphere. Invite your friends and family to chill out after last nights festivities and join us for stalls, music and performances. This is an all age family friendly event. Sausage sizzle and drinks available for purchase.
Frolic Cabaret Nights
Be entertained by local LGBT+ performers, anything from burlesque, dance, music, to circus acts in a casual relaxed environment. Have a drink, order some food, and most importantly have a great night!
